Meet Paul Kosinski
It’s no secret that success is a team effort. As a leader, Paul Kosinski knows that human capital is the single most important resource and asset he has in his tool kit. Paul knows that the best way to retain a strong talent pool is by ensuring teams are recognized for their accomplishments. While the finance industry tends to see a fair amount of job-hopping, Paul is proud to have attracted, motivated, mentored, and retained teams of high-caliber individuals.
Before getting his start in the finance industry, Paul Kosinski attended Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York, New York. Earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics, Paul graduated with honors in 2007. He then attended Saint John’s University’s Peter J. Tobin College of Business, where he graduated with his Masters in Business Administration in International Finance in 2011.
Throughout his career, Paul Kosinski has held several different roles, working in finance and analysis. He spent some time with Natixis North America, a financial services company offering financing, advisory, insurance, banking, and non-life insurance services, serving as an investment banking intern. Next, Paul took a role as an Analyst and Management Trainee with a global securities trading and brokerage firm and international investment bank. He worked with the Vincentian Congregation of the Mission as the Assistant to the Executive Treasurer. As Assistant to the Executive Treasurer, Paul’s responsibilities consisted of financial analyses and dual entry accounting. This included multiple countries for multiple currencies, compiling data regarding the organization’s financial health and reporting on it, and analyzing and reporting on more than $40 million in portfolio performance.
Since then, Paul has worked with several private and independently owned investment firms where he has served as Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. In each position, Paul has had the chance to use and further develop his leadership skills. He has fostered and nurtured relationships with investors – both internal and external – as well as stakeholders, lenders, placement agents, and ratings agencies to create beneficial and lasting relationships. In just eight years, Paul has managed a structured finance settlement system handling $20MM annual originations, built a team, and led cross-departmental collaboration.
As a result, that system is now a platform operating with over $700MM originations per year. Paul has led teams as they’ve created streamlined operating and financial models and best-in-line processes. All while efficiently supporting the structured finance needs and numerous projects for hundreds of national and international investors and clients. Paul’s teams have created value by processing tens of thousands of transactions a year and servicing over $5B in future cash flows with minimal human resources.
